Privacy, in plain words.

We collect as little as we can get away with. This page describes what that means in practice.

Cookies

We do not use cookies on this site. There is therefore nothing to consent to. If a future feature requires cookies (none is planned at time of writing), you will be asked beforehand.

Analytics

We use Plausible to count page views and understand which content is useful. Plausible is hosted in the EU and uses no cookies and no personally identifying data. It tells us aggregate numbers — not individuals.

If you subscribe to the slow letter, we store your email address with Buttondown for the sole purpose of sending you the newsletter. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. To have your address erased completely, write to hello@undertourism.eu or use the unsubscribe link in any email.

Affiliate links

Some outbound links (rail, accommodations) include tracking parameters that earn us a small commission when you book. They use anonymous click tracking only — we do not see who clicked, only that someone did.

Hosting & jurisdiction

The site is hosted on Vercel's EU region. The Sanity content store is in the EU. The newsletter tool (Buttondown) is US-based and is the only third-party data processor outside the EU; if this matters to you, please consider whether to subscribe.

Your rights (GDPR)

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by writing to hello@undertourism.eu. We respond within thirty days.
